not the 'burbs of Boston. Snakes are good creatures and really, generally
unaggressive toward humans. They are helping to keep the critters down
around your joint...not trying to sound like the local PETA/snake huggers
rep, but when we live in non-urban areas, we have to get along with
the creatures that make that local system "work", imo.

The species I've seen here on our Mtn., include eastern black snake,
rat snake, hog nose, timber rattler, copperhead, ringneck and water snake.
The copperhead & timber rattler I give good room to, though they are really
unaggressive unless cornered and/or fully warmed up. Eastern black and water,
are aggressive but not toxic in their venom...I'll shut up; glad you got it out and
all is well in your Mainiac household!
