It's important to remember though that while reciprocity laws may allow you to carry in another State, you must know and abide by concealed carry laws of that State; in other words, if you have Florida permit (whether resident or non-resident) and use it while traveling to Texas, you will have to follow Texas concealed carry laws. So while you have no duty to retreat in Florida, you do have duty to retreat in Texas… until Texas passes a similar law.
