I use a trainer because, to be honest, if he didn't show up, I would take the day off, or week off, or month off, or year off.
It's a motivational thing, if he's there, I'm gonna work out. If he's not, I'm gonna sleep in. Besides, I really enjoy the boxing, mitt work.
Unfortunately, I can't fit all the equipment in my house that I would like to have. As far as legs, I don't really do a lot of legs as I have very tight, natural calves and hamstrings. Since I do a lot of jump rope and stair climbing, I don't feel the need to grow those muscles. They are in much better shape than my top half.
I have a Bi-cep curl bar and free weight's that I use to isolate. But no, it's not a gym that has everything. But my goals were simple, stop gaining weight and get some exercise. (I had quit working out for a couple years while I was getting my masters degree.)
I have accomplished those goals and then some. I'm strong, I'm toned, and yes, I could stand to lose some belly weight, but I'll never be mr. six pack. I just enjoy hitting things and pressing big weight.
