I am getting 19.3 on my 3.0si, and I don't have a light foot either. I have 11,000 miles on mine though. I recall hitting 19 mpg around 5,000 miles or so. I find that mpg improves dramatically the more you drive it.

By the way, almost 6 months and ONLY 2,000 miles. You have to get out more.
