The way I see it, far as the washing machine goes...you want something that won't rust, is decent sized, won't tear up clothes and has several settings so you and the intended can wash everything your own way. You want a dryer that gets hot enough to dry heavy fabrics and pillows, has room to dry your just washed load, and one that won't catch fire if you forget to clean the lint trap. IF you're gonna have it someplace where people can see the W&D, THEN think about the keepin up with the Jones's factor. Front load washers are the thing now. Wait till the Dyson washing machine gets a US distributor, MAN! I bought the guy's vacuum cleaner. That dude ain't bullsh***in about his inventions.
