was wondering about the overheat issues as well but the weights are pretty similar:

X5: 4982 lbs
X6: 4894 lbs

If the xdrive35 can do the twin turbo, no reason the X5 can't.

I'm tempted to go feel it out but then again I'd come home regretful settling for the 3.0si so early. I'm loving it so far (not so much for true performance in such a heavy vehicle of course)... no regrets... no regrets... no regrets...

BTW, according to their spec sheets, the xdrive35 is 1.3sec faster to 60mph in the twin turbo.
