I don't have kids but i do drive on the facoy 20"setup and I feel that it breaks shorter and corners much much MUCH better with the 20" wheels- ultimately safer. When i swop to the BMW winter tires package. I could notice that on a dry day (7 degrees Celsius) the summer tires break much more sharply (and stops qucker for sure) Its not just the looks or the grip, but the wider rear tires stance (contact patch) on the road really makes a big positive difference over the 19"that were on my tester before I got mine.
