"iPhone nano" set to hit shelves this Christmas
Rumours are circulating that Apple is preparing to introduce the iPhone 'nano'. According to the Mail on Sunday, the follow-up to the iPhone will be hitting stores over the Christmas period.
The newspaper cited an unnamed industry source who claims the iPhone nano will have a "touch wheel on the back and display on the front so that numbers will be dialled from behind".
"The iPhone 3G has been the fastest-selling phone ever in the UK, but it is too expensive to be a realistic proposition in the pay-as-you-go market." said the source.
"However, a cut down version, with the candy bar shape of iPod nano music players, would be a huge hit as a Christmas gift," the source added.
The article suggests the product will be launched by O2 and will be priced at around £150 on pay-as-you-go.
