I don't know where Tahoe is so I'll answer.
I've had two E53s ('01 4.4i and '05 4.4i) I now have drive a 2008 4.8i
Unless I turn around and look in the back seat, you'd never know it's longer, wider, higher or heavier. The handling and power blows away that of the E53. Driving it is a blast.
