Having worked both the insurance and the repair sides of the aisle, I recommend a company that has a local agent, or an independent agent who can pick between several companies. They get a commission, so they try to help you out. The internet companies employ fictitious, albeit hot, cartoon girls and they can't help you!

All this is especially important if you have a nice car and other property. You just get better service and often have access to better repair shops. You do not want your X in the cheap shop, believe me!
