the politician does not exist who is completely "correct" on ALL the issues. IMHO, nitpicking completely misses the point. Personnally, I'm really getting fed up with the word "flip-flop". Who hasn't ever changed their mind, or ended up going along with other's ideas in the interest of getting SOMETHING DONE, even though you may disagree on how it gets done?

Y'all seem to forget that the President DOES NOT MAKE THE LAWS. He can only request/suggest that CONGRESS tackle the issues he feels are important. The President's main job is foreign policy.

As far as canidate "qualifications", I'm more interested with what they've DONE. Frankly, I don't want someone who sits "fat,dumb,and happy" inside their party political machine. We need problem solvers, not loquacious slogan sellers.

I think McCain/Palin worries BOTH Democrats AND Republicans. I think both parties are worried how much they will shake up the "status quo" in Washington,DC. I can't wait to see how much "deadwood" they can chop out of the beltway, and bring reality into "la-la-land".
