similar thing happened in Queens when my cousin the NYPD officer was arresting a guy that had just mugged someone at gunpoint. My cousin and his partner rolled up on the mugger, who was on a bicycle (not a motorcycle) and proceeded to arrest him after struggling with him. While they were arresting him, someone stole the bike he was riding on. My cousin's comment "that bike probabaly had about 5 owners that night"
