1. It can be mounted either location. I mounted mine in the rear

2. Yes, but you would obviously need to run wires from the front to the back to make this work

3. Yes, definately

4. As previously indicated, you would need some sort of interface adaptor that intercepts the i-bus signals transmitted from the steering wheel buttons or head unit and translates it into signals that can be used by the DVD player. I'm not aware of one that exists, but that doesn't mean you can't find or build one.

If you look at my install, I used the remote control that came with the DVD player to operate it and the sensor is located in the ashtray.

5. It connects in-line to the wiring to the video module (which is located down in the spare tire compartment behind the battery).
