I have an 2007 4.8 and the black paint inside the chrome exhaust tips is slowly, but surely, wearing off. As a result, the inside of the tips look terrible...showing some steel (not chrome inside) and some paint. I took it to a dealer who blamed the problem on poor gas which is a ridiculous answer. It seems to me a clear design flaw if the powder coating cannot stand up to less than 20,000 miles of normal wear!!! The tips are welded on so access is not easy. Thanks for any guidance.
