I have 19.5 mpg (8.3 kM/L) averagely.
Got my X5 on 2007/09, now has 19000km (11806 mile).
Driving daily for work, highway and city. (Think about the rush hours.)
My best record was 29.635 mpg (12.6 KM/L) on a 150 mile (241 KM) non-stop, highway trip. I had strong tail wind
