I agree, it is doubtful, sometimes if its too good to be true (as far as price) it is.. plus I would be very wary of integrating a remote starter or anything into the X5 without knowing full compatibility.. lots of things to get screwed up.

buy it and give it a shot though to see if itll unlock the car, worse that happens is you can use it as a garage door opener.
