They're making another version that has a qwerty keyboard.

See this is why we live in the world we live in. Engineering departments just don't get it. Don't give us the same thing we already have and repackage it with lesser branding. If you want to win our business, figure out what it is that the customer base is not happy and improve it, rather than replicate it.
And while there may be a small percentage of people that like having an Iphone without a keypad, based on my conversations of Iphone owners and potential iPhone owners, they are the minority not the majority.
The best of both worlds is a PDA that looks like an Iphone, browses like an Iphone, has apps and integration like an Iphone, syncs with a MAC like an iPhone.. But has a decent keyboard and better functions like SEARCH, COMBINED EMAIL, CUT AND PASTE, etc.
