Whadya mean "...otherwise works ok..."? Does it not warn you if you just start up and drive without putting on the seatbelt? It should do!

Euro NCAP awarded the E53 some extra points when they added this warning resulting in the X5 scoring a full 5 star crashworthiness rating.
