Much has been written in the general media about how many political polls should be discounted by several points due to the assumption that many people tell pollsters what they think they want to hear and do not want to appear or reveal their true prejudices. Once they are in the privacy of the polling booth they will cast their vote as they truly believe, with many voters allowing their racism dictate their choice based on learned provincial fear of superficial difference of race and not on rational judgment, even if they agree with many of the stands on the issues with a candidate. BTW, this works both ways for both whites and blacks.

Therefore, I do think the total vote count for McCain and Obama on Nov. 4th will be much closer than what the current polls are indicating, even factoring in their margin of error.
