Chinese Grand Prix - Spoiler
So, Hamilton wins another. In general, a dull race with some interest provided by the points standing. Hamilton showed some of the discipline that he needs.
Hamilton now has a 7 point lead over Masa going into the last race of the year in Brazil. That means that to overtake Hamilton in the points standing, Masa has to come 1 or 2, and Lewis has to finish no higher than 7th if Masa wins, or out of the points if Masa comes in 2nd. A 5th place finish will clinch it for Hamilton no matter what Masa achieves.
Should Kimi Raikkonnen have given up his 2nd place position to let Masa keep his chances alive for the championship? When Ferrari did this previously (slowing to let a team mate overtake for a win) it created a furor, but it seems that it is OK now.
In other news, there was some discussion about the Canadian Grand Prix coming back for next year. The teams apparently want to go to Montreal, F1 management wants to go, but there is the small matter of $20 million owing in back fees from the race organizers that needs to be settled first.
