So I traded with a local guy for the running boards and am having trouble installing them. Mine fit fine on his car (running board originally to non-running board), but I can't get mine on. Seems like the metal plate needs to be replaced as the metal clips that engage the running boards are in different places from the non-runningboard. Has anyone else out there do this? And if so, was it a straightforward switch??

Just looking for some guidance.
