I was wondering about a couple of things i hope someone in here can help me with.


I just bougt a BMW X5, 2001 3.0i. With it i got the 4:3 monitor and what i think is the MK3 computer.

The computer says GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEM on the front, nothing about DVD's, so i guess it can only be the mk3.

The computers # is 22SY591/23B. HW1.1 SW3.00


The monitor says SW 3-1/63


Anyways.. the problem i have, is that the language on the monitor is set to german. The menus are in german and the voice is in german.



In the settins menu, there is an option to change the language to GB, which i recon is british, but when selected, it just ignores it and keep it german.? Anyone have an input on this.?




Also, when i set time, limit etc. It seemes to ignore what i put in.. There is no time showing anywhere, no warning is heard when exceeding the limit i put in..





Can i update the software for this navigator.? I would appreciate some links to guides for this as i am quite unexperienced with this.

Also, if i where to update my system, could i start with a 16:9 monitor with the current computer, and later on put in a mk4.? Or the other way around, start with a mk4 and the current monitor..
