If they have the cojones, go for it. You act as if they don't do it because of a moral compass.

I'm sorry but defense is not something you can sit on the side line and wait to participate in. Sure is nice posting on this forum knowing that tomorrow your street isn't going to be leveled...isn't it? How do you think you got that security? Out of the kindness of hearts?

BTW, many..many countries and factions receive funding from the US. Not just "terrorists" and "bad guys".
