None of what you wrote even close to resembles the truth. It's what the propogandists at Fox News and the Rush Limbaugh show want you to believe. And as you have even pointed out, it doesn't even make any sense! 
People in the Middle East, and even in Iran, love American culture, Hollywood, American music, American products live Levis Jeans, etc. What they don't love is our military being in their country. That is why they hate us. It has nothing to do with our culture or even our religion.
But by making you think that they hate us because of "who we are", and not because of "what we do", they remove any responsibility from the equation. But we do have control over this. We can be nice and then most of the world will like us, or we can be bastards and most of the world will hate us. Most recently our government has chosen the later. |
Just curious where you get that, from your VAST travels through the Middle East? While I would never say "hey they are all like that" I'd listen to someone who has spent time there before I'd listen to a correspondents interpretation.
