As a long running and vocal Obama supporter on this board, today I am unapoligetically proud of what occurred last night. Not only do I feel that President-elect Obama will take this country in the positive direction, I would be remised if I did not say that last nights announcement caused me to pause and think of my grandparents and relatives who are not here to witness this historic event.

That said, anybody who is quick to pull down, degrade, and complain about the next administration without giving it a chance should think again. I can sympathize that Obama may be a hard pill to swallow for many on this board, but the continued negativity will do nothing to move this country forward. If the republicans want to recapture power it will be done by showing class, and define a positive direction for the country. The name calling and fear tactics do nothing to advance the cause.
