That said, anybody who is quick to pull down, degrade, and complain about the next administration without giving it a chance should think again. I can sympathize that Obama may be a hard pill to swallow for many on this board, but the continued negativity will do nothing to move this country forward. If the republicans want to recapture power it will be done by showing class, and define a positive direction for the country. The name calling and fear tactics do nothing to advance the cause.

Very well said....in all respects....I am a Republican who UN-ashamedly voted for Obama. My biggest concern with Democrats has been their historically WEAK stance on national security issues. I do not get that vibe from Obama. I think he will be very tough when he needs to be.

And he won't be a stubborn bastard like W, but will retain the flexibility and change, as conditions on the ground change. How ironic would it be, after W's 7 year "War on Terror", if it's Barack Obama who actually nails Bin Laden and Zawahiri! Just sayin...it could happen...
As for the African-American aspect of this election, I too am sorry your late relatives are not around for this proud moment in race relations. Barack is a guy for ALL people. He openly acknowledged that racism is still a problem in this country, but consistently refused to play the toxic "race card" that alienated white voters from that clown Al Sharpton and from Jesse "blame whitey for everything" Jackson.
