I saw some great color on my drive south; its an endless sea of trees and nothingness in South central VA. Well, the waning sunshine combined with my amber-lense sunglasses contributed to the overall beauty too

I already know this, but it really seems like you're very high in elevation to get those great cloud shots. When are you making your southward trek to FL?

There is truth to the statement "I travel south [to UNC/Duke] every year when the leaves begin to fall, and when the leaves begin to grow". I remember similar good scenery last year too.
