Successful IceLink installation - '06 NAV + DSP

... took less than 15min. to get everything hooked up, in fact the hardest part was removing the existing CD changer (which was easy).

I opted for a complete stealth install with the iPod mounted in the empty bay above the GPS deck. So far the text on the NAV screen works well (as well as RDS does) and most importantly it sounds GREAT.


I've found some features I've not seen documented anywhere...

- the LH scroll knob on the NAV unit can be used to control the on screen "disc-6" menu (e.g. scroll artist, album etc)

- hitting "<" on track 1 of a playlist will take you to the playlist selector

Now if Apple would only get with it and add BT or WiFi to the iPod for wireless sync while parked in the garage ...
