It is not easy to replicate. I tried to replicate the problem so many times, I gave up. It just occurs randomly. The dealer at one point wanted to take my car for a week and have a tech drive it everywhere he went. I didn't go for that though. My theory, and im no tech, but my theory is it might be that issue you said with the E46, when no accelerator is used and you steer sharply, somethin there goes wrong, and the car shuts off. Either way, somehow switching to V-power helped... so Im happy
