I used Mobil 0x40.
Few days ago I changed my oil to 5x30 and got a BMW oil filter from the dealer and no more ticking in the morning, even with the temperatures around 30F 
Just FYI if someone has this problem too - change your oil and FILTER to BMW brand and that might help |
I read somewhere that it's common that Mobile one causes vanos lifter noise. I always use OEM engine oil though.
