I dont think that home sub/amp will last the winter. Home theater stuff doesnt have the same temperature operating range plus condensation will very possibly build up on the voice coil of your sub and rust off the tinsel leads.
Car audio voice coils are coated to protect from this.
And the integrated amp might not work below -15c.
Either way good luck but be prepared to replace the sub(driver).
