Isn't fair market value a derivative of what the market is willing to pay? Doesn't that determine market value?

Takes some nuts to tell the market what market value is Guess they shouldn't have built all those gold plated buildings with oil revenue when it was 147/bbl. Didn't see this scrutiny, as they put it, for fair value then
