You can bet there will still be American troops in Iraq in 100 years. If you take a look at the fine print on those negotiated agreements, they say "combat troops", whatever that means. Even with all the talk of withdrawing our troops at some point, they are still in the process of building a dozen or so perminant military bases. As far as I'm concerned, the war will be over when there are no longer any US troops in that country. If you disagree with that logic, then I ask you to apply the same logic when determining wars between other countries. For example, how would you feel if Russia said their war with Georgia was over even if they still had a dozen military bases inside of Georgia? It is simply BS.
