A good place to start would be knowing what fault codes are stored. Because as with the engine light and airbag light, there are NUMEROUS things that can throw the light. From steering angle sensor to DSC pressure sensors, to accelloration sensors, etc. By the time you finish throwing parts at it you could easily have paid for proper diagnosis.
