Too high a price for not much improvement over the D3. Slower continuous shooting rate and lower ISO.

There's rumor that it was only a software TWEAK of the D3 whose sensor was capable of 24MP to begin with.

The D3 will still be the mainstay for sports/fashion/news while the D3X might appeal to those doing landscape/architectural work.

Its about $9000 Canadian or 2 sets of summer rims and tires!
