Hi Foxy,

Welcome to the forum,

You don't have to take the i-bus from the 26pin plug, you can take the i-bus feed from anywhere, you are just tapping into a closed network, so adding an extra i-bus device will be OK, the easiest place to take the i-bus from would be the CD changer (the 3 pin plug).

It's pinouts are; Clicky

1. Ground (Brown)
2. +12v Switched ignition (Green / Red)
3. I-Bus (White, Yellow)

Personally, I wouldn't bother with the TCU, go for a proper ULF, the wiring is much easier and it wont need dealer enabling (some TCU won't work unless they are coded).

Rip out the old phone system and replace with a new loom, trust me its a lot easier. I retrofitted BT in mine (from nothing) and it was fairly simple.

Clicky
