Thanks everyone. I will play around with power settings. What I'm hoping I will find is an option that allows my laptop monitor to go to sleep but not the CPU if I have the laptop plugged in. But if it's running under battery, the wifi can disconnect after 1hr of inactivity or so.

I have a pretty big house and my wifi has to travel through lots of walls. Last night I thought distance may have something to do with it so I moved one of my repeaters to the bedroom to see if it helped.
And it did... Help that is.
--Instead of a 5-10 second wait time, it was more like a 2-3 second wait.
