I have the same code and 95k miles, so im in a similar situation as you. I took it to the dealer and it seems that I'm going to eventually need to replace the intake gaskets due to a slow leak which is causing it to run lean. This job includes removing a lot and it would be a shame not to replace the valley pan gasket and other various o-rings and gaskets at the same time. I have a list from the dealer of things they recommend fixing and will post if you are interested . I really feel my X does need all the maintainace the dealer stated and that this is not a case of the dealer being the 'stealer'...however, I will most likely get these things done at an indie. If i could afford it, no problem, i would be taking to the dealer...but im a starving college student---why do i drive a bmw??
