I was born in Illinois but left after joining the Army for 27 years. However, knowing Illinois would be my home again I always kept tabs on what was going on. This does not surprise me at all. Illinois has been governed by the Chicago Political Machine since before the days of Al Capone. Nothing has changed and nothing will change so long as good people do nothing. Blagojevich is a product of that machine so in his mind he has done nothing wrong. I think it prudent to add the new President Elect is also a product of that machine.
