What ever happened to "Accidents happen" amd "sh!# happens" ??? A son/daughter in college deserves a break....I mean we're not talking a high school dropout shooting up heroin and hitting up the folks for cash to get another fix...

I guess there are very different philosophies on parenting and I am NOT in Lambeau or Quicksilver's camp on this. As a parent, you need to HELP your kids (that's what parents are for). Yes, there is definitely a time and a place for discipline. Getting into a small accident is not one of them, unless there is gross negligence. I'm sure she feels bad enough about it as is, don't see what kind of "lessons" need to be taught here....
