When I went to Batteries Plus recently to buy a replacement battery for my 3.0i, I asked if I could use the 4.4i battery instead (since it is a heavier duty battery, it seemed like a good idea to me). I was told that 4.4i battery has the positive / negative terminals are on opposite side as the 3.0i battery. This would make the cables running to the battery potentially not within range of making the connection.

Being unable to verify this while at the store to make my purchase, I went with the 3.0i spec battery. You may want to check this yourself before purchasing.
