Good to see you're taking good care of your X5. You inspired my to get out and wash mine after it has been woefully neglected for loooong time. I even let the dealer wash it once. :eek: I had a bunch of dried mud/dust on the rocker panels from some road construction I drove through. That black textured plastic seems to just love to hold on to dirt. I scrubbed three times and the best it looked was as if I got wax all over it and wiped it off. Not good. Aha! I tried the ol' Professor Jaime (Meguiar's professional detailer trainer from WestFest III) and used some Meguiar's (won in a raffle) carpet cleaner. It wasn't absolutely successful but it got it much better than before. I followed up with some Meguiar's tire and trim gel and it's back to black.

Next weekend will be the Boxster's turn after I parked it, top down, and some nice winds came across a nearby dirt lot. Yeah, all over my interior. Dammit!

BTW, your house is very nice. One of these days I'll come out and crap in your toilets and do donuts on your lawn.
