Thaanks for all the replies. I tested mine again the other day when it was below 5 degrees. It didn't seem to be working so I gave the heater a good thump! Whiring started, cold air blows from heater exhaust punp starts clicking and shortly after the exhaust starts to heat up. So all working now and has been ok since. If you have the remote, the manual says to run the heater at least once a month. Can't do this with out remote so maybe the mechanism just clogs up and a good wallop freed it up! (Of course the other possibility is that it was working anyway and it just hadn't been cold enough, or the battery not charged enough or the fuel tank was on reserve.)
