winter tires also have a softer rubber durometer that make them grip better in cold ( starting about 38F). it is an amazing difference really.

Thaks for the thoughts...For as many times as it snows here in Seatle I think I will forgoe the extra set of rims and call in sick on those days where she HAS to use a car and let her use mine...

I'm tinking the Forters'a sound good.
