So it looks like you have to get the optional BMW Assist Convenience Plan for $199/yr to be able to use BMW Search powered by Google.
That sounds like something that should be standard.

I do like like the fact that I can send destinations to the car nav through google maps with bmw assist myinfo without buying the optional plan.
