I downloaded the W7 beta last night from MS Connect. It installed fast and looks good so far. Filed my first bug report too

Vista runs great here. Q9450 with 4 GB running Ultimate 32-bit. Very few people need more than 3.5 GB RAM or need x64. I use the quad core machine as a media center, dev machine, and generally have a ton of windows open and it doesn't bog down. Vista is a dog if you don't have adequate hardware. Still the machine cost less than $1,000 to build and is virtually silent

Lots of people say OS X is simpler but I get confused when I try to use it (MS user since 1983). Plus the inflexible, overpriced Apple hardware dongle is ridiculous (unless you're comfortable breaking IP laws to run it on 3rd party hw).
