It's a great thing. I love it on my M. They now make one just for M cars, which is great. I had it on my 530 as well. On top of the remap, you still notice a difference in throttle lag. Sure, it doesn't change the fuel timing, but it definitely helps push the car through the gears.
This has been discussed on countless threads on E60.net with pretty much all members in support of the product.
I think I'll get it for the X5 too.
