That's exactly what I am planning to do... and I am gonna cut it at angle because the problem is from the near side behind the tail light. That means I will keep the thickness at 13.5cm at the far side and will make it 11.5cm on the near side.

I absolutely agree... I am amazed each time I turn the system on and each time I change a track! The bass amount is almost like my Bose home theater system which has a really HUGE sub.
