I believe you must be right. I remember the seller had this unit in a Touring E46 from 04 with a 4:3 screen. I thought it was a colour screen but may be it was the simple arrow only GPS with no map. I will try to ask him.

I understand I could do the trick with your software but I am no expert in computers. Assuming I get the software from you and I use my own V29 CD is the job really straightforward ?
Would a BMW dealer be able to perform it ? Do they know anything about this procedure ?

Sorry again but it seems that I have still a long way to go before I can get this upgrade done !
