So the UN should respond certain ways to some countries and different ways to other countries? Different rules for different countries? That hardly sounds like an ethical way for a world body to act.
Am I understanding you correctly that you think the UN should respond differently to different countries that do the exact same thing?
You didn't even ask what the violation was. How about we call the country of discussion "Country X". And why don't you ask questions about "Country X" and their violation (or violations) that you would need to know in order to have an opinion on how the UN should respond.
